How is inner-eco kefir different than yogurt?
Our coconut water-based inner-eco kefir is a living food. Yogurt contains cultures that are injected, not naturally occurring, which means they don't have the ability to repopulate.
Inner-eco is preservative free. Is it safe to drink?
Yes! Because inner-eco kefir is grown in water, it hasn't been exposed to contaminates in the soil. The cultures in kefir have anti-bacterial properties—they have the ability to prevent and destroy unfavorable microbial growth. The kefir culture is a natural preservative. We do extensive quality control testing on every batch to ensure inner-eco kefir meets the highest possible standards.
Why is inner-eco kefir carbonated?
The carbonation, or natural effervescence, in inner-eco is a natural result of its fermentation, and it varies in intensity from batch to batch—some will have more "fizz" than others. Why is inner-eco kefir in an amber bottle and what are the floating particles in the bottle?
inner-eco kefir is a living food. We package it in an amber bottle to preserve the life of the light-sensitive organisms. The "floaties" you may see are bits of beneficial cultures. Drink them up! They're good for you! To get more servings from your empty bottle, add a small amount of water and shake to loosen the good cultures resting on the bottom of the bottle.
How is inner-eco kefir different than other kefirs on the market?
We make our kefir with freshly harvested young green coconut water. This ensures the vital nutrients of the coconut are naturally preserved. Each bottle contains the juice of almost two coconuts!
Can inner-eco be diluted or mixed?
Absolutely! You can enjoy its unique flavor alone, or blend it into juice or smoothies for a probiotic punch. Serve either cold or at room temperature, but don't mix inner-eco with hot beverages—the heat will kill the living organisms.

Is drinking inner-eco kefir better than taking a probiotic pill?
It can be. While capsules contain some healthy bacteria, inner-eco kefir contains trillions of cultures that are in a continuous stage of growing and thriving. It is called a living food, and as such, has the ability to colonize and become established in the intestine. Because the beneficial cultures are already thriving in the coconut water, they can more readily repopulate in your digestive tract than the dried probiotics in capsule form.
Where do you get the coconuts?
We import our coconuts from Thailand.
What do you do with the leftover coconut meat/husks?
We donate the unused coconuts to the animals at the Wild Animal Sanctuary in Hudson, Colorado. It is a wonderful non-profit organization that rescues large wild animals from homes and other environments they don't belong in. The bears and tigers love the coconut meat. The husks are dried and mulched and used by landscape companies for gardens and as a soil additive. Organic composting facilities also are using the husks for composting to make nourishing soil and burn for fuel. Small companies are using the meat for their own coconut products. Let us know if you would be interested in these coconuts.
