Probiotics are very important in maintaining intestinal health. Most people have unhealthy intestinal bacteria and fungi, which results in intestinal inflammation, which results in absorption of macromolecules which cause many allergic type illnesses including autoimmune illnesses. Intestinal inflammation severely inhibits the immune system, because 80% of the immune system is located in the intestines.

Kefir made from coconuts is a very good source of probiotics. Using coconuts has the additional advantage the antiviral monolaurin component of coconuts. Monolaurin is also an important component of mother's milk, which protects infants from infection. I'm happy to talk to or email anybody about the importance of probiotics as a supplement.

Just a few words to let you know what I have observed when recommending the kefir to my clients.

As a nutritionist and colon therapist I am very concerned about replacing and maintaining healthy bacterial (gut) flora. In the 12 years that I have been in practice I have found that food sources of bacterial flora are superior to laboratory manufactured capsules and pills. I have incorporated coconut kefir into numerous cleansing and dietary protocols and have never been disappointed with the results. I have been taking inner-eco kefir consistently for over one year, and I am a survivor of late stage colon cancer. On December 26th, I went in for emergency surgery. We all thought the worst. Gracie was only 6 month's old living in Gulf Port Miss. when Hurricane Katrina struck. She then spent 8 months in the make-shift Humane Society before Doberman Rescue of Colorado brought her to Colorado. When I first got her she was infested with mange, so my vet began treatments. However after a year of treatments and monthly trips to a dermatologist, the mange was still causing considerable hair loss and severe itching; I was told that she probably had a deficiency with her immune system that was not allowing her to fight off the mange.
